5 Things This 5 Minute Meditation Can Reveal About You

Your favorite color means more about your personality than you think. I have seen color around my clients since I began doing intuitive work almost 20 years ago. And during that time, I have noticed that specific traits tend to be associated with each color. For example, people who have gold around them are usually self-employed, or are currently brainstorming ways to start their own business. I have also found that you can easily incorporate color throughout your day if you want to invoke more of this energy.

If I want to feel more confident, I will often wear purple to help me invoke leadership energy. Or if I am feeling critical of myself, I might visualize pink for a dose of unconditional love.

To find out your primary color and what it says about you, click here to check out this video that I recorded for the Oprah Winfrey Network. It is a quick, easy and free way that you can find out more about your personal color signature.

Please let me know which color you were most drawn to in the comments below, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I felt at easy with purple and orange. I enjoyed your talks so much, you are very perceptive in an interesting way. I want to read your books to understand your ideas futhermore.

  2. I’ve always been drawn primarily to purples. My bedroom has purple walls and the amethyst is my color stone of choice with jewelry. Within the last few months though I have also been drawn to blues. My favorite candles to light when I meditate are blends of bright blues (teal, turquoise, & sky blue) and the last dress I bought was a blue/black blend that drew me in.

  3. Very interesting. I actually had a difficult time picturing color. I can picture bright white light which I’ve done before. I did seem to find it easier to picture the orange color cuz I pictured an orange for a second. Purple tends to be my color. That’s what people tell me. I like wearing purple shirts and that sort of thing. I’m going to try this again later. On another topic I wish you come back to Dallas. I’d love to meet you and attend one of your sessions.

  4. For me, gold was the most familiar followed closely by purple. I do a meditation where I visualize a gold ball above my head pulling in energy and then it comes into my body and I imagine all the chakras in gold. That said, my LR is purple and my bedroom lavender. And I wear mostly turquoise/teal, royal blue, purple and bright pink.

  5. I have always been drawn to the purple hues. My second choice would be the blues, aquas, and the darker shades of red, such as the burgundy shades. I am an artist and I find that there will always be a touch of many of those colors in any of my creations.

  6. I absolutely adore listening to you. To be honest, I actually found it challenging to stick to a specific color, but I am currently surrounded by orange, so I seemed to identify with that the most. Makes sense actually. So lovely to connect with you again. Hope you are receiving the lighter side of this Mercury Retrograde.

  7. Omg, I’m orange, at first I thought I would not be able to spot the right color, but orange sort of felt exciting, like some joy, satisfaction all of a sudden, and when I heard the explanation, I totally connected to it! Now I’m sure. 🙂

  8. I always tend to lean towards cobalt or royal blue, while meditating. Although, I’ve always said that yellow is my favorite color, it’s cobalt blue I’ve I’m drawn to ever since I was a child. Blue stained glass or glassware completely bring me at peace and a feeling of awe. However, this color doesn’t really look good on me.

    1. Hi Maura, I love blue as well! That is the color of truth and wisdom, which is why blue tends to be one of the more popular colors. You bring up a very good point when you say that it does not look good on you. Color energy can be utilized in many ways, and wearing the color is just one way of doing so. Even if you don’t like the way a color looks against your skin, you can still invoke its energy through other methods such as meditation or visualization.

  9. I love green from mint to dark green. I live surrounded by pine trees near green green mountains. I love to play with colors. No life without green.
The book of yours is of immense help! I struggled with a way to distinguish between authentic people and those who just wear masks of sorts. No inner compass and I was manipulated easily, too childish maybe. Now I see (!) colors when I hear people speaking. And yes, shades of blue show that the person hides behind something. That friendliness is just the surface side. Go deeper, Galina, go deeper. It’s ok for people to be not authentic, life is life, people survived lots of traumas. But i wanted this compass. Now I have it.
Many colors come when I listen to people now. I enjoy!
I see red and begin breathing more. Or white, or orange in different people. Yesterday I listened to a man and saw how he blocked deep green. It was knocking on his door! A woman talking was pink with stripes of silver blue, I wanted to cry when heard her, so tender. It is my favourite way of listening now! Thanks a lot, realy a lot! I am in love with your system, your discoveries, Doug. The book was an impulsive lurchase and what a treasure.
    And I HATE purple.
